Storyline:
Manu, a gay pediatrician in his forties, would be perfectly happy if he could adopt a child and bring him or her up with his partner, Philippe, a lawyer. Where the shoe pinches is that Philippe is pleased with his present life and will not have it spoiled by the invading presence of a wailing brat. Unable to find an agreement the two lovers part. Manu, although shaken, is single-minded about finding a surrogate mother, willing to give him the child he craves. Fina, an Argentine beauty trying to get a job, but held back because of her lack of immigrant papers, might do the job for him in exchange for a marriage of convenience. However, as Blaise Pascal would put it, "The heart has reasons that Reason cannot know".

Rainbow Boys is a Thai movie that is based on the series of novels by Mexican-American writer Alex Sanchez. The story revolves around Tat (Jackie) and Nat (Pimpong) who are best friends, university students and gay. Nat is effeminate, flamboyant and out. Tat on the other hand, is still closeted to his family and friends.

In comes a popular jock, Ek (Palat) whom Tat develops a crush on. Tat ends up tutoring Ek and finds that he is a nice guy. Meanwhile, Ek is confused about his sexuality as he starts to lose interest in his beautiful girlfriend. Meanwhile the romantic relationship between Tat and Ek develops and the three boys soon find themselves in an awkward triangle.

Questioning his sexuality, Ek turns to Tat of advice, and a sweet romance gradually develops, creating an awkward situation between Tat and Nat.
To survive and prosper, all three must surmount the homophobia of Thai society, neglectful and abusive home lives, gay bashings, schoolwork and their own love triangle.

However, his life was radically changed by a stroke, and he is now a slim gay man, who lives with his boyfriend and works as a hairdresser. The trouble is that virtually nobody believes his story, not even his boyfriend, and everybody else has their own 'take' upon his reality. As a result of the changes in his personality and sexuality, Chris is now alienated from most of his former friends and family. ('Before' and 'After' pics are above.) Shown on BBC Three TV last night, this doc caused some heated debate in yesterday's UK newspapers, even before it had been shown on TV.

The encounter of the younger, possibly virgin young man, with a slightly older man is full of little ritualistic intimacies that will shape this young man's life - and his life will never be the same again.

I give this film a 10 out of 10. This film was very well done.

I was totally applauded during the middle part of this short film but after the film was done and over, I was completely won over and fascinated by the whole thing.

You will probably recognize the main room/set that is used in this film.

The actors were very realistic and easy on the eyes as well.

Very clever film, with a great dirty sense of humor which I loved and I highly recommend this film.
